Purging

Fading faces of quiet moon and blazing sun
Drown and die beneath the ocean

A distraction
Of titillating scenes
Neon lights and quivering skin
A pink wet road of empty fantasy

Green fog blankets mind
Making the great booming dirge of the day
Easier to tolerate

Cold shadow walls surround
Alone, arms outstretched
Only silence is found

Everyone and everything is only
Fluff and pompery
All cease to matter
Falling off the edge of the cliff
To nowhere

Claws pluck like the strings of a harp
And rusted swords are pulled from pale heart.
